Antidote for 'creative block': Maharishi University of Management's Communications and Media BA programme
by Global Good News staff writer

Opportunities to study with industry leaders, create award-winning work, and support initiatives of the Global Country of World Peace are drawing increasing numbers of students to the Communications and Media BA degree programme at Maharishi University of Management (M.U.M.) in Fairfield, Iowa, USA.
One of the professors, Gurdy Leete, who is also co-director of the programme, described how fulfilling it is to work with the tremendously creative students of Consciousness-Based Education. He contrasted his own experience in art school, where many students struggled with creative block, to his experience at M.U.M, where students have so many ideas that they have to decide which projects to postpone.
Professor Leete praised the quality of the students' work, which has won numerous awards at such events as the Iowa Motion Pictures Association Awards, the Cedar Rapids Independent Film Festival, and the Webby Awards.
Students also have the opportunity to help with initiatives of the Global Country of World Peace and use their growing expertise to help create a better world.
The number of students has more than tripled since the programme began two years ago, said Prof Leete.
Rising demand for the programme has resulted in plans for its expansion. The University will need additional highly experienced teachers to join leading experts, including Professor Leete and programme co-director Stuart Tanner, a renowned documentary producer and director.
