During their Consciousness-Based Education tour of Canada, Raja Paul Potter, Raja of Invincible Canada, and Dr Ashley Deans found a new level of receptivity to Consciousness-Based Education and Transcendental Meditation in meetings with school principals, faculty, and students in Vancouver, British Columbia; Edmonton, Alberta; and Winnipeg, Manitoba.
They gave presentations to school principals and college faculty and students in these key cities; and also met with local Teachers and practitioners of Transcendental Meditation to discuss plans for expanding Consciousness-Based Education in schools, colleges, and universities in their areas.
Raja Paul and Dr Deans, who is Global Ambassador for Consciousness-Based Education, gave an introductory lecture on Transcendental Meditation in Vancouver, as well as a presentation to many college students and faculty. The presentation was arranged by the governor of the college, who is a Teacher of Transcendental Meditation. Many students are now ready to learn the technique.
The principal of a school in the same building also attended this talk and would like to learn herself. These two schools could easily create a group of 500 Yogic Flyers for the invincibility of Canada, said Dr Deans recently, reflecting on the Canadian tour. 'This is a great opportunity,' he said. 'It has never happened before.'
In Edmonton, Alberta, Raja Paul and Dr Deans also met with local Transcendental Meditation Teachers and practitioners. A very successful project is in process there at a school with 2,200 students. The principal and about 40 faculty have learnt Transcendental Meditation, and the school is now ready for the students to begin when they return in the fall.
In Winnipeg, Manitoba, one faculty member of a school has learnt Transcendental Meditation and students will also learn in the fall. The teacher's husband is a senior Rabbi in Winnipeg who has been practising Transcendental Meditation for many years. He has written a compelling endorsement of the practice, and is working to introduce Transcendental Meditation to his congregation in Winnipeg.
While in Winnepeg, the delegation contacted and met with a number of school principals. At one meeting, Dr Deans reported, ten minutes into the presentation one principal said that they 'had descended like manna from heaven', and that this is exactly what he wants for his school. The rest of the conversation was about how Consciousness-Based Education could be implemented there.
They found a similar response meeting with another principal. After a thirty-minute presentation by Raja Paul and Dr Deans, the conversation was all about the practicalities of implementing the programme in the school.
'There is really no resistance, we find,' said Dr Deans. 'It's just a question of going out and giving the knowledge to people; they respond, ''Well, this is great. This is just what I've always wanted.'' '
In the coming days Global Good News will feature an article about the delegation's visit to Toronto.
