Maharishi University of Management (M.U.M.) in Fairfield, Iowa, USA will host the fourth annual David Lynch Weekend this fall, 9-12 October, during which prospective university students will have the chance to discover the value of Consciousness-Based Education.
As in the past, visitors will hear presentations from Dr David Lynch himself, filmmaker and pioneer for Consciousness-Based Education; Raja John Hagelin, Raja of Invincible America and renowned quantum physicist; and other distinguished faculty and researchers at the university on the deep value of Maharishi's programmes for education.
'The David Lynch Weekends have inspired many more students to enroll in M.U.M., and directly experience Consciousness-Based Education as part of a degree programme,' said Dr Mario Orsatti, National Director of Communication for the Global Country of World Peace in the United States, on 16 June 2009.
He noted that the annual event draws young people from throughout the world—and not just young people. 'Many who aren't student age come to David Lynch Weekend and realize they never experienced the kind of education they wanted.' These older participants, said Dr Orsatti, often enroll in M.U.M.'s Master's programme in Maharishi Vedic Science. 'No graduate programme can compare with the richness of Total Knowledge that Maharishi's Vedic Science provides.'
Dr Orsatti concluded by thanking David Lynch for his dedication to Maharishi and his Maharishi's programmes. 'He is a great soul, a creative genius, and an enlightened person, who is using his influence to spread Maharishi's knowledge' around the world.
