Growing interest in meditation, education, and brain development following UK tour of Dr Fred Travis

The Daily Telegraph, which has the largest circulation of the serious newspapers in Great Britain, recently featured the effect of meditation on brain development.
'Meditation could make you more intelligent as it boosts the size of your brain, new research claims. . . . It has been taken so seriously that [some] schools in America are considering including meditation as part of their curriculums, thanks to the championing by the film director David Lynch. . . .' the article reported.
Although not specifically about Transcendental Meditation, the Daily Telegraph highlighted the work of the David Lynch Foundation to offer the benefits of the Transcendental Meditation Programme to students, said Raja Peter Warburton, Raja of Invincible Great Britain for the Global Country of World Peace.
More and more mainstream media reports about brain functioning have come out following the visit of Dr Fred Travis, Director of the Center for Brain, Consciousness, and Cognition at Maharishi University of Management, USA, Raja Peter continued. Even if they don't mention Transcendental Meditation, these reports demonstrate a growing interest in the relationship between meditation, education, and brain functioning.
Raja Peter noted that a few weeks ago The Daily Mail—a paper with a large circulation—featured a two-page spread showing the correlation of addictions and disorders with functional holes in the brain, as compared with a healthy brain.
Early on, Maharishi Mahesh Yogi emphasized this area of brain research—and experiences that promote development of the total brain as opposed to experiences that create functional holes in the brain—and now it is coming into the mainstream media, Raja Peter said.
Society as a whole is changing, he said. This is the time to catch this wave of interest about meditation, education, and the brain, by contacting schools, leaders of society, and the media to let them know about the proven effectiveness of the Transcendental Meditation Programme.
