Reverend Father Gabriel Mejia, president of a religious organization that runs a rehabilitation programme for juvenile offenders in Colombia, is organizing a conference for the organization's members throughout Latin America, to discuss implementing the Transcendental Meditation Programme within schools and youth programmes.
Fr Mejia is also a Teacher of Transcendental Meditation, and as part of the core of his rehabilitation programme at the youth centre in Colombia, he has taught the technique to all 3,500 of the children in residence, as well as the Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programme including Yogic Flying. Inspired by the tremendous success of this approach, Father Mejia has organized a conference for all leaders of his continent-wide religious institution, to be held in Colombia 24 May 2009, on the topic of Transcendental Meditation as a solution for problems faced by today's youth.
'This will be a great opportunity for launching initiatives in all 25 countries where the religious institution is located, for the implementation of Transcendental Meditation in youth programmes,' commented Raja Jose Luis Alvarez, Raja of Invincible Latin America for the Global Country of World Peace, on 19 May 2009. 'Father Mejia will surely extend his accomplishments throughout the continent on the level he has already achieved in Colombia.'
