The Transcendental Meditation Programme can transform* even schools experiencing significant problems—by enlivening the inner peace, happiness, intelligence, and creativity of students and teachers.
This was the message expressed by renowned filmmaker David Lynch at a major press conference** held just prior to the 'Change Begins Within' benefit concert on 4 April at Radio City Music Hall in New York City, USA.
'I've seen schools that were in bad trouble get this technique for the whole school—and within one year [there is] a 180 degree turn-around—night to day,' said Dr Lynch.
'It's not a surface cure,' he continued. '[Through Transcendental Meditation] these students dive to the deepest level of life . . . [and it] changes them from within.'
Transcendental Meditation, which promotes good health, and reduces stress in the individual and in the classroom as a whole, also 'changes the teachers from within' said Dr Lynch. 'No more teacher burnout,' he commented.
'The David Lynch Foundation for Consciousness-Based Education and World Peace raises money to give Transcendental Meditation to any student anywhere in the world who wants it—or any school that wants it for the whole school—the students, the staff, the teachers, the principal,' Dr Lynch said.
'It really and truly works. If we can get this to one million*** kids it'll be huge,' he said.
