A secondary school offering Consciousness-Based Education in Uganda has received many applications, and has expanded its facilities to accommodate more students. In Benin there is interest in both learning and teaching the Transcendental Meditation Programme, and in Mali there is a possibility for a Maharishi Vedic Organic Agriculture programme.
These initiatives were presented by Raja Graham de Freitas, Raja of Invincible Uganda, Invincible Benin, and Invincible Mali for the Global Country of World Peace, during a recent summary of achievements in his domain in 2008.
The Maharishi School in Uganda has expanded its facilities, Raja Graham said. Additional classrooms have been completed, and the school can now accommodate over 100 students in four secondary school class levels.
A generous donation has also made it possible to offer scholarships to 50 new students this year, when the school opens in early February. There were two applicants for every scholarship available, Raja Graham said, so a high enrolment is expected.
The students at the school will also help create invincibility for their nation. They will be the basis of an invincibility group for Uganda—which needs a group of 500 Yogic Flyers to achieve national invincibility.
Interest in Maharishi's programmes in Benin and Mali is beginning to expand, Raja Graham said. There is interest in Transcendental Meditation in Benin, Raja Graham said, and a Yogic Flyer from the country plans to attend a Transcendental Meditation Teacher Training Course in June 2009. In Mali there is potential for a large Maharishi Vedic Organic Agriculture project, Raja Graham said.
Global Good News is continuing to feature Raja Graham's summary of achievements and initiatives in 2008 in the countries of his domain, including news from other African countries in the coming days.
