Speaking on a recent Maharishi Global Family Chat, Raja Willem Meijles, Raja of Invincible Holland, Indonesia, Suriname, Poland, Lithuania, Qatar, Namibia and Antigua for the Global Country of World Peace, reported on his recent visit to Lithuania with Dr Ashley Deans, Executive Director of the Maharishi School in Fairfield, Iowa, USA, and Global Ambassador for Consciousness-Based Education.
Raja Willem showed the location of Lithuania on the map of Europe, east of Poland. Lithuania has about three and a half million inhabitants, and needs 200 Yogic Flyers to create the Maharishi Effect for the invincibility of the nation.
The capital city of Vilnius has about 550,000 inhabitants. Raja Willem and Dr Deans visited both Vilnius and the second largest city of the country. Raja Willem showed slides of the two cities and explained that Lithuania has a very ancient culture—it has the most ancient remaining Indo-European language, with Sanskrit influence still visible, also Greek and Latin, which have a strong influence on the architecture of the country.
Dr Ashley Deans gave lectures to educators in both cities; about 100 students and teachers attended Dr Deans' lecture on Consciousness-Based Education at the university in Vilnius.
A Lithuanian Teacher of Transcendental Meditation now living in the Netherlands has been inspired to reawaken the organization for Transcendental Meditation in Lithuania, and she has been moving ahead very well with various initiatives, said Raja Willem.
