Director David Lynch has named Laura Harring as a Goodwill Ambassador for his David Lynch Foundation, which provides funds for schools that want to incorporate Transcendental Meditation into the classroom.
It is a joy for Global Good News service to feature this news, which indicates the success of the life-supporting programmes Maharishi has designed to bring
fulfilment to the field of education.
Ms Harring, who starred in the Lynch-directed film Mulholland Drive, was chosen to help raise awareness of the David Lynch Foundation.
Funds provided by the foundation also cover scientific research on the benefits of Transcendental Meditation, which include increased creativity and intelligence and better academic performance. The technique also helps students who have learning disorders; it has been shown to reduce anxiety, depression, and substance abuse.
Ms Harring was quoted as saying, 'I have been asked to be the Goodwill Ambassador for the David Lynch Foundation . . . I consider it a privilege and an honor, and I have gratefully accepted.'
She also is involved with the food aid charity Stop Hunger Now.
Every day Global Good News documents the rise of a better quality of life dawning in the world and highlights the need for introducing Natural Law based—Total
Knowledge based—programmes to bring the support of Nature to every individual, raise the quality of life of every society, and create a lasting state of world peace.
