Mexico: New Consciousness-Based Education programme in Monterrey promotes invincibility

Raja Jose Luis Alvarez, Raja of Latin America for the Global Country of World Peace, reported on a recent Global Family Chat about a new Consciousness-Based Education programme in Monterrey, Mexico.
Raja Jose Luis is also Raja of Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Venezuela, Bolivia, Peru, Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana, Paraguay, Panama, El Salvador, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras, Uruguay, Dominican Republic, Suriname, and Cuba.
Raja Luis described a new project for Maharishi's Consciousness-Based Education in Monterrey, which is the second most important city in Mexico. In the past there have been programmes to teach Transcendental Meditation in the schools in Mexico, resulting in good experiences with the teachers mainly and the students, but so far no schools had committed to have a large group of students participate in Consciousness-Based Education 'in a serious way,' Raja Jose Luis said. 'That means setting aside the time and all that is needed to accomplish this. But this has changed for the last few months, and now in one beautiful school, there are 1,500 students, who have appreciated the experience very much,' he said.
Soon students will begin the Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programme and eventually the whole school will be practising Yogic Flying. Raja Jose Luis showed slides of the Mexican boys and girls practising Maharishi's Transcendental Meditation, which they do every day, twice a day in their school. They have set aside the time in the school and all the students practise together. Both the teachers and the parents have been very much enjoying and supporting the experience, he said, and the children are very happy.
Raja Jose Luis said he thought one of the most important elements for successfully implementing an Invincibility School in an existing school, is the training of the teachers — so that the students' collective practice of Yogic Flying is well organized and successful in creating an coherence and harmony for the nation. 'In the case of this school, the teachers have been very, very motivated and they have taken a leading role, and that's probably the basis of the success of this experience.'
The experiences of Transcendental Meditation among the teachers in this school will be presented in Part III of his article in the coming days.
