Speaking recently on Maharishi Global Family Chat, Raja Paul Potter, Raja of Invincible Canada for the Global Country of World Peace, reported progress in establishing Consciousness-Based Education throughout his domain.
First, he reported the establishment of two Maharishi Invincibility Schools, one in Montreal, Quebec and one in Vancouver, British Columbia. A board of directors has been elected at each school, and committees have formed under the leadership of Dr Guy-Paul Gagne in Montreal, and Dr Gregg Wilson in Vancouver. 'We expect these Invincibility Schools very soon to create coherence for all of Canada,' commented Raja Potter. He added that Invincibility Schools are also being established in Toronto and Niagara Falls.
Raja Potter went on to report that three already-existing schools in Canada have received funding from the David Lynch Foundation to offer Consciousness-Based Education. He expressed hope that the students of these schools, who now practise the Transcendental Meditation Technique together in groups, will all eventually learn the Yogic Flying Technique. 'Maharishi has always felt that groups of Yogic Flyers are what provide the real basis of Invincibility for the nation,' said Raja Potter.
One of these schools, a public secondary school located in Ottawa, the nation's capital, has received funding to begin the Consciousness-Based Education programme for all of its 200 students, aged 12 to 18 years. In addition, 16 more teachers and staff will learn the Transcendental Meditation Technique at this school, joining the 5 who have already learned. In the province of New Brunswick, the Big Cove First Nation School, of 260 students, has received funding to begin the Stress-Free Schools programme, which will provide instruction in the Transcendental Meditation Technique to 80 of the school's students and staff.
Lastly, Raja Potter announced a conference and concert, to be held in Toronto this coming fall, featuring Dr David Lynch, songwriter Donovan Leitch, as well as the celebrated Canadian Brass Ensemble. The event will be held to raise awareness of Consciousness-Based Education in Canada, and will provide a great boost for the new Maharishi Invincibility Schools in the area.
