A new Consciousness-Based Education project is beginning in the state of Maine, USA, according to Dr. Kingsley Brooks, Raja of New England for the Global Country of World Peace, who reported on the Maharishi Channel on 27 August.
Over a year ago, the David Lynch Foundation sponsored a seven-city tour of New England, promoting Consciousness-Based Education. One conference delegate, a board member of her Native American school, was inspired by the conference and wanted to introduce this programme in her school without delay. She was been working on achieving this ever since, together with an experienced leaders of the Global Country of World Peace in Maine.
The school has 30 faculty members, almost all of whom have given their full support to the Consciousness-Based Education initiative, and have been eager to begin the practice of Transcendental Meditation, the core element of this most advanced educational system.
On 27 August, Dr. Brooks announced, five faculty members had received instruction in the programme sponsored by the David Lynch Foundation. Another 15, funded by the school itself, are to commence the programme one week later.
'I think it's very significant that this Native American school is coming forward and beginning Consciousness-Based Education. This is one of the very few tribes in the Eastern part of the United States and it is one of the largest. To have them beginning the programme of Consciousness-Based Education marks the enlightenment of the most fundamental values of Natural Law taking place in North East Vedic America,' said Dr. Brooks.
It is planned that the students will receive instruction in Transcendental Meditation soon.
