A very beautiful 5000-square-metre building, specifically designed for Maharishi's educational programmes, is in the final stages of completion in central Bangkok.
The construction material is primarily white, man-made marble that closely resembles natural marble. This material gives a royal dignity to this impressive building, one of the first of its kind in the world, built purposely for Consciousness-Based Education.
The design is in accord with the principles of Maharishi Sthapatya Veda, the Vedic science of determining correct location, orientation, and proportion for a building so that its effects are always nourishing to the occupants, thereby promoting health, wealth, and good fortune.
Appropriate to Thailand's tropical climate, verandas on the outside will protect from heat and monsoon rains. A special design feature allows for cross-ventilation to provide even more breeze inside than outside, ensuring comfort for the occupants in all seasons.
The new college provides an ideal setting for students: There will be classrooms for thirty students each, residences for many teachers, and halls where Yogic Flying can be practised in large groups.
This beautiful college in Thailand is another significant step forward for a country which has long welcomed Maharishi's peace-creating initiatives. It will be a powerful nucleus of coherence for the whole population of Thailand.
