On 11 December 2025 UNESCO reported: On Human Rights Day, the ''Upu Ma Tala -- Fa'asao lou Fa'asinomaga Fa'aleaganu'u'' (Safeguarding Your Cultural Heritage) initiative concluded in Samoa, successfully focusing on revitalizing six elements of intangible cultural heritage at risk, such as fagufagu (nose-flute playing) and siapo-making (tapa cloth).
