''Transcendental Meditation and creativity are beautifully interconnected, so what better place to launch DLF Live than at the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival.'' —David Lynch
The David Lynch Foundation will launch DLF Live on Saturday, June 15, at this year's Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival in Manchester, Tennessee, USA.
DLF Live, a new performance division of the David Lynch Foundation, will produce concerts, film festivals, stand-up comedy shows, film competitions, conferences, and arts events to raise funds to bring healing to underserved communities through the Transcendental Meditation technique.
DLF Live's Board of Advisors includes Russell Simmons, co-founder of Def Jam Records; Craig Kallman, Chairman and CEO of Atlantic Records; Dan McCarroll, President of Capitol & Virgin Label Group; and Scooter Braun, co-founder of Raymond-Braun Media Group.
Previous benefit concerts and events have featured Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Wynton Marsalis, Martin Scorsese, Ellen DeGeneres, Russell Brand, and Dr. Mehmet Oz.
The launch will be marked by a screening of ''Meditation, Creativity, Peace'', a compelling new documentary highlighting filmmaker David Lynch and his decades-long dedication to Transcendental Meditation, creativity, and the arts. The screening will be hosted by musician James McCartney and DLF executive director Bob Roth.
