David Lynch receives Cologne's Film Prize

World-renowned filmmaker David Lynch recently received the Cologne Film Prize at a two-day conference in Germany. His current project is a documentary about Maharishi Mahesh Yogi.

Maharishi is the Founder of the Transcendental Meditation Programme, Mr Lynch has been a practitioner and supporter of the programme 'for decades', the article reports.
Having recently travelled to India to shoot footage for his film, in the article Mr Lynch comments, 'I'm not a documentary film maker, but I'll give it a try.'
Mr Lynch is also garnering 'worldwide attention' for his painting, photography, and sculpture.
'Since a major exhibit of his paintings and photography in Paris three years ago,' the article states, 'Lynch has held exhibitions around the world.' This month he will receive 'the Goslar Kaiserring, one of Germany's highest artistic honors'.
