New Classical and Traditional section debuts on Global Good News Musicmall

Global Good News Musicmall is pleased to announce the launch of a new section devoted to Classical and Traditional Music.

Musicmall offers knowledge, enlightenment, and entertainment through a wide variety of beautiful and inspiring works of Heaven on Earth music and other recordings. Highlights of the collection include Audio Books editions of several of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's books; Maharishi Veda Vision Music DVDs – Animated Songs of Total Knowledge; recitations by Maharishi Vedic Pandits; Maharishi Gandharva Veda music; as well as Songs of Total Knowledge.

The new Classical and Traditional music page features CDs by American concert pianist and recording artist Roy Eaton.

Mr Eaton is renowned for performing and recording the music of Frédéric Chopin, George Gershwin, and William Grant Still, as well as the ragtime and classical composer Scott Joplin. He has given recitals around the US and in many countries. The winner of the first Kosciuszko Foundation Chopin Award, Mr Eaton performed at Carnegie Hall, New York City in April 2009, in a special programme commemorating the 60th anniversary of the award's establishment in 1949.

He is also a long-time practitioner of Transcendental Meditation and the Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programme. One of his CDs which is available at Musicmall—'The Meditative Chopin'—includes live recordings from a unique recital, exploring the spiritual dimension of Chopin's music, that he gave at Alice Tully Hall in New York. Following the concert, a New York Times reviewer commented, 'The cumulative effect was deeply satisfying. One came much closer to the heart of Chopin—and by extension, to music itself.'

Audiences around the world have also been inspired by Mr Eaton's performances. During a recent tour of Russia, a Moscow critic wrote: 'There are occasions when this world gives us magic moments of inspiration, when our reason and our soul live a special life, which is unfettered by mundane earthly laws. It was exactly this kind of moment which an American pianist, Roy Eaton, gave to Muscovites who managed to get to his concerts.'
