The first international conference on building a healthy, sustainable American Indian community will be held at Maharishi University of Management in Fairfield, Iowa, USA, 25-27 September. The conference, hosted by the David Lynch Foundation for Consciousness Based Education and World Peace, will include presentations by leaders of the American Indian community across the United States.
The conference was announced by Dr Robert Roth, Vice President of the David Lynch Foundation, who is also Director of Expansion for the Global Country of World Peace in the United States. Dr Roth was addressing the celebration marking the four-year anniversary of the Foundation, which is supporting initiatives to help American Indian communities, in addition to its successful programmes in schools around the US and the world.
Conference moderators are Mr Prosper Waukon, Director of the David Lynch Foundation's American Indian Initiative, and Dr John Hagelin, President of the David Lynch Foundation.*
Speakers at the conference include three of the top leaders of 'Indian Country'—there are 600 tribes in America, known as 'Indian Country'—Joseph A. Garcia, President of the National Congress of American Indians and leader of all interfacing with the US government; Robert Cook, President of the American Indian Education Association, in charge of education for all 600 tribes; and Lucille Echohawk, one of the leaders working with foundations to support initiatives for children.
Global Good News will report further on this conference as it unfolds.
* World renowned quantum physicist Dr John Hagelin is also Executive Director of the International Center for Invincible Defense in New York, Minister of Science and Technology of the Global Country of World Peace, and Raja of Invincible America.
