In the past few months the number of people in Holland learning Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's Transcendental Meditation Programme has increased throughout the country.
The growing numbers learning Transcendental Meditation in January, February, and March are a significant increase compared to the past years, said Dr Paul Gelderloos, National Director of Invincible Holland for the Global Country of World Peace.
This trend seems to be occurring in part through 'word of mouth'—as new practitioners of Transcendental Meditation recommend it to their friends, more people continue to be inspired to learn.
There has been much more interest in all of Maharishi's programmes in Holland recently. When people hear of these programmes, they no longer seem to think they are unusual, Dr Gelderloos said. They appreciate the practicality of this knowledge.
He also praised the activities of three new young Teachers of Transcendental Meditation who are working at the Maharishi Invincibility Centre in Amsterdam. They began teaching Transcendental Meditation in the city last month, he said, and have been very focused on making information about Maharishi's programmes widely available.
