David Lynch to give prestigious lecure at British Academy of Film and Television Arts

On the final day of a highly successful eight-day tour of the UK and Ireland by filmmaker David Lynch and songwriter/poet Donovan, they will appear together at an event at the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) in London.
On 27 October David Lynch will present the annual David Lean Lecture at BAFTA. The lecture is presented each year by one of the world's top film directors. Donovan will also perform at the event.
The tour has awakened an unprecedented wave of interest in Transcendental Meditation in the UK and Ireland, having highlighted the successes of the David Lynch Foundation for Consciousness-Based Education and World Peace in providing in-school Transcendental Meditation programmes to tens of thousands of students in the US, Latin America, and Africa.
Donovan is travelling with David Lynch to support efforts to establish Consciousness-Based Education programmes in UK and Ireland schools.
On 26 October at a press conference in Edinburgh, Donovan announced the establishment of a new university—Invincible Donovan University—in Scotland (please visit: 'Invincible Donovan University' to be established in Glasgow and Edinburgh.
The BAFTA event on 27 October is slated for a VIP audience by invitation only; however, SKY TV will film the entire event and will broadcast it on the Sky Movies digital Channel on 4 November 2007.
