Mauritius: Businesspeople enjoy Transcendental Meditation
by Global Good News staff writer

28 December 2009
Employees of a business in Mauritius are enjoying the benefits of the Transcendental Meditation Programme, thanks to the inspiration of a co-worker who practises the technique.
A long-time practitioner of Transcendental Meditation, the businessman decided he wanted to do something for his colleagues at work. He approached his manager about the idea of offering Transcendental Meditation, and discovered that his manager also practised the programme, and was enthusiastic about the idea.
Together they organized an introductory lecture for the employees, and a second lecture followed for those who were interested. All fifteen people who attended the second lecture decided to learn the Transcendental Meditation Programme, said the National Director of Mauritius for the Global Country of World Peace, in a recent report* on progress in his country.
The businesspeople meet almost weekly with Transcendental Meditation Teachers for followup sessions. They attend advanced lectures regularly and they are all having very good experiences, the National Director reported.
Based on the positive changes they see in their colleagues, more employees now want to learn Transcendental Meditation.
Momentum is also building in the areas of education and health, the National Director reported.
A college has shown initial interest in Consciousness-Based Education, and demand for Maharishi Ayur-Veda products is increasing as people experience the health-promoting benefits of this natural, holistic system of health care.
Raja Michael Dillbeck, Raja of Invincible Mauritius for the Global Country of World Peace, concluded the report by discussing a primary focus for the coming year: to create invincibility for the nation through the establishment of two Invincibility Schools—one for boys and one for girls. The schools will be modeled after the Maharishi Vidya Mandir schools of India, he said.
