Grenada: New products to help support education and world peace

Speaking 9 July 2008 on Maharishi's Global Family Chat, Raja Graham de Freitas, Raja of Invincible Grenada for the Global Country of World Peace, reported progress in developing a line of agricultural products in Grenada, the proceeds of which will help support educational and peace-creating initiatives on the island.

Working on this project in Grenada is a team led by Jeanie Livesley, a Teacher of Maharishi's Transcendental Meditation Technique. Others on the team include Jim Schaefer, President of Soil Technologies Corporation in Fairfield, Iowa, USA, and long-time supporter of Maharishi's world-wide agricultural programmes; Carl Jorgensen, President of Purely Organic, a gourmet Italian food company, and Director of Agriculture for the Global Country of World Peace in the US; and Dr David Goodman, Professor of Management at Maharishi University of Management in Fairfield, Iowa, USA. 'This is a very strong team,' commented Raja Graham; 'together we've made great progress . . . in Grenada.'

Raja Graham and his team founded Akshaya Products on 8 May 2008—the auspicious Day of Lasting Achievements in the Vedic Calendar, Akshaya Tritiya. With Akshaya Products they intend to help Grenadians in developing their own organic agriculture. In addition, the team plans to trade these products into niche markets in the US, using the proceeds to support such initiatives as Consciousness-Based Education and permanent assemblies of Yogic Flyers.

This new product line will not only offer the highest quality of healthy organic food, but will also help create invincibility in the nation. 'Akshaya Products will help us to achieve sustainability in Grenada,' concluded Raja Graham.
