Inc.com recently posted a page 'Perks and Benefits', which lists past articles felt to be relevant to the challenges of Human Resource Managers today. Included in the list is the 1998 article, 'A Relaxed Workforce', which looks at incentive programmes offering such benefits as the Transcendental Meditation Technique and Maharishi Vedic Health Care Programmes. It is a joy for Global Good News service to feature this news, which indicates the success of the life-supporting programmes Maharishi has designed to bring fulfilment to the field of business.
Noting the high stress levels facing the 1998 workforce, reporter Stephanie Gruner looked at some innovative ways in which some businesses were trying to help their workers cope. One of the people Gruner talked to was Carla Brown of the Maharishi Vedic Health Center in Lancaster, Massachusetts. Brown mentioned the increasing numbers of executives frequenting the resort—often at their employer's expense. As an example, the reporter cited Jim Love, the founder of Love Communications Co., in Jackson, Mississippi. Love, who had been going to the Lancaster centre for years to combat hypertension, had recently paid for a valued employee to take the $3,100 weeklong programme.
Every day Global Good News documents the rise of a better quality of life dawning in the world and highlights the need for introducing Natural Law based—Total Knowledge based—programmes to bring the support of Nature to every individual, raise the quality of life of every society, and create a lasting state of world peace.
