Dramatic decrease in poverty across Latin America

In the past few weeks, signs of positive change have sprung up across the continent of Latin America. These changes include both political and economic trends, perhaps the most exciting of which is a recent report on the decreased poverty level in Latin America.

The United Nations report states that in the past 20 years, poverty has decreased by 38% in Latin America. This, in itself, is a remarkable change. But even more remarkable is the fact that the most dramatic change occurred this year.

An administrator of the Transcendental Meditation Programme in Latin America attributes these unprecedented findings to the accelerating success of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's technologies of consciousness in many countries in Latin America.

'This dramatic, very sharp decrease of poverty levels in Latin America, unheard of in 20 years, is surprising to the different politicians and professors evaluating it, due to the world scenario of economic difficulties.'

He was referring to the global financial crisis, a crisis which has afflicted many countries the world over. In spite of this recession, though, poverty levels in Latin America dropped most dramatically during this last year.

'So in a scenario of economic crisis, poverty . . . has been reduced 38% in Latin America, and this was the year that [it] was reduced the most in 20 years. It's very surprising and something very remarkable to mention.'

The explanation is simple, the administrator went on to say—the dramatic positive changes are a reflection of the rapid rise of coherence in the collective consciousness of the whole continent, generated by large groups of people practising Transcendental Meditation and its advanced techniques, including Yogic Flying, in many locations.

'Then we see an increase of affluence, an increase of coherence, which in turn brings progress and affluence in the nations and naturally decreases poverty.'
