During the recent four-day celebration of the Golden Jubilee—50th anniversary* of the Transcendental Meditation Programme in Germany, future plans were discussed including proposed construction of a Maharishi Tower of Invincibility.

In honour of the occasion, Dr Eike Hartmann, Minister of Global Reconstruction for the Global Country of World Peace, presented a detailed description of the 12-story marble-plated Tower of Invincibility.

A prototype has been developed with a two-story Vastu (Vedic architecture) school building on either side of the Tower of Invincibility, he explained.** Each school—one for boys and one for girls—will accommodate 200 students.

The Tower, featuring exhibitions of the 12 main areas of the knowledge and programmes of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, with an additional planetarium on the top floor, will be 'like a vertical Veda Land', Dr Hartmann said.

Visitors should have the 'direct experience of unboundedness and Totality', he said.

Maharishi had said that 'knowledge of Jyotish should be pre-eminently displayed and taught in this building,' Dr Hartmann explained. Jyotishis, experts in Vedic Astrology, will be available for consultation.

Approximately one hectare (2.5 acres) of land is needed for the Tower of Invincibility, two schools, gardens with fountains, and 12 small Yagya Mandaps (halls)—for peace-creating Vedic performances of Maharishi Vedic Pandits.

The Tower alone requires only one-tenth that space, and could be located in a public park in the centre of a city, he said.

In the coming days, Global Good News will feature the continuation of Dr Hartmann's report.
