Jyothishmati Engineering College gets solar power

District Collector Sarfaraz Ahmed inaugurated 190 kilo Watt rooftop solar power plant at Jyothishmati Engineering College in Karimnagar on Friday (22 February). He appreciated the management of the college for taking steps in protection of environment by installing the solar power plant to reduce pollution.

The Superintending Engineer of TSNPDCL, K Madhava Rao speaking on the occasion said that the Telangana government strived hard for giving quality and standard electricity to the people. The solar power plant that was installed in the college will minimize the use of 178 tons of coal producing 2.85 lakhs units of solar power reducing the 78 percent grid supply and is eco-friendly.
