The International Ayurveda Congress offers a prestigious platform for research scholars to present their findings in various fields of Ayurveda. The latest innovative and pioneering work will be presented in this Congress.

Patron of the Congress

Dr Tony Nader
Tony Nader, MD, PhD, MARR

Dr. Nader received his M.D. degree from the American University of Beirut. His Ph.D. is in the area of Brain and Cognitive Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and he completed post-doctoral work as a Clinical and Research Fellow in Neurology at the Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Nader has written two ground-breaking books: Human Physiology: Expression of Veda and the Vedic Literature and Ramayan in Human Physiology. In his latest book Dr. Nader's scientific analysis finds the ancient epic of the Ramayan (from the Itihas aspect of the Vedic Literature) to be a precise scientific description of how our body functions and evolves.

His interest in natural health care led him, while at MIT, to conduct research on Maharishi AyurVeda herbal and mineral preparations, investigating their safety, effects on memory and behaviour, and their ability to prevent ageing and disease.

The Congress

This Congress is one of the largest Ayurveda congresses in Europe, with participation from leading experts from India, Europe and USA.

During the first International Ayurveda Congress, held in the Netherlands on 11th and 12th April 2015, 500 delegates, including 80 Ayurvedic experts from India, participated in the Congress. Following on the success of the 2015 event, they are again expecting an international gathering of over 500 experts in the field.

This conference is the joint effort of three organizations: the International Maharishi AyurVeda Foundation, from the Netherlands; the All India Ayurvedic Congress, New Delhi; and the International Academy of Ayurved, Pune.

'Veda is pure knowledge, pure knowledge pertaining to life: AyurVeda, pure knowledge pertaining to life, pure knowledge pertaining to life. Life having two aspects of it: unmanifest and manifest, AyurVeda, the pure knowledge aspect of life connects the unmanifest and manifest value of life, makes the manifest blossom in its full potential.' — Maharishi, Maharishi University of Management, Fairfield, Iowa, USA, 29 December 1979

This Congress has its foundation in Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's World Plan for Perfect Health through the principles and practice of Ayurvedic Science. This conference also took inspiration from Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's encouragement of Ayurvedic experts and academicians in India and worldwide to spread the highest quality of Ayurvedic knowledge, practice and products worldwide. Prime Minister Modi's continued support for strengthening and including Ayurveda in the ties of India with other countries has been appreciated by all.

Among the goals of these Congresses is to bring to light Ayurveda as a prevention-oriented perfect health care system for the world, a system that is authentic and reliable. This will strengthen the reputation of India in Europe and the world through the implementation of traditional time-tested Vedic knowledge, products and practice.

Since Ayurveda is prevention-oriented, as well as holistic and curative, it is capable of leading the world towards creating an increasingly disease-free society. It has the potential to make a huge contribution to the health care systems in Europe and the world. Since Ayurveda is cost effective and easy to implement, it is capable of bringing about self-sufficiency in health care in every nation.

A unique feature of this Congress is the integration of consciousness-based ayurvedic modalities and an exploration of the application of mind-body integration techniques.

In addition to Congress plenary and parallel sessions, the schedule will feature:
∙ lectures open to the general public
∙ a trade fair for Ayurvedic and natural healthcare products
∙ a Maharishi Gandharva Veda concert (finest of Indian Classical musicians)
∙ a Thames River evening cruise.
