28 January 2013
After a delegation of experts in Maharishi Ayurveda* health care from Europe and the USA attended the World Ayurveda Congress in Bhopal, India, they also visited the new Maharishi Vedic Health Centre in that city.
The recently inaugurated Centre is a large, deluxe development that is designed to appeal to Indians as well as internationals. Inside what looks like a five-star hotel are offered a wide range of Maharishi Ayurveda consultations, treatments, and knowledge programmes.
In addition to guests from India and other countries, the Centre is home to two in-residence groups. One is a group of Maharishi Vedic Pandits who daily perform special peace-creating Vedic recitations to support the rise of harmony and progress in the nation and world. The other is a group of Maharishi Vedic University (MVU) students. Both engage in daily practice of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's advanced technologies of consciousness, including Yogic Flying, to create an influence of coherence in the collective consciousness of society.
Several of the visiting health experts participated in a panel discussion during a welcome celebration for all the guests, including: ∙ Robert Schneider, MD, FACC, Director of the Institute for Natural Medicine and Prevention and Dean of Maharishi College of Perfect Health at Maharishi University of Management, Fairfield, Iowa, USA; ∙ Mr Lothar Pirc, owner and managing director of the award-winning Maharishi Ayurveda Health Centre in Bad Ems, Germany; ∙ Dr Girish Varma, Director-General of the Global Capital of World Peace at the centre of India, who was instrumental in the creation of the Maharishi Ayurveda Health Centre in Bhopal.
The speakers described the value of Maharishi's Vedic Approach to Health and how this most ancient, scientific system of natural medicine uses a variety of approaches that simultaneously influence the mind, physiology, behaviour, and environment; these time-tested methods and programmes, free from harmful side effects, are designed to prevent disease, restore health, and promote longevity by enlivening the body's inner intelligence.
All of the delegation members enjoyed their visit, helping to celebrate the Centre's inaugural year.
The delegation went on to Delhi, joining a large group of leading physicians, researchers, and administrators of Maharishi's Vedic Approach to Health from several countries attending the 25th anniversary celebration of Maharishi Ayurveda Products, led by Dr Anand Shrivastava, Chairman and Managing Director of Maharishi Ayurveda Products Ltd in India.
The celebration honoured the founders of Maharishi Ayurveda, represented by Dr Devendra Triguna, a distinguished Maharishi Ayurveda Vaidya (expert physician), who addressed the gathering; he is the son of Dr Brihaspati Dev Triguna, one of the esteemed founding members of the Maharishi Ayurveda Council of Vaidyas and a world renowned expert in Ayurvedic medicine.
