Maharishi Ayur-Veda herbal preparations are of the highest quality and have been given a premium ranking by AYUSH, the Board of Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy of the Government of India. Now, another dimension of purity is unfolding through certified organic products.
Nearly 120 herbal products—all products examined for ranking—have been found to be 'premium', said Dr Anand Srivastava, head of Maharishi Ayur-Veda products in India. These products qualify to have a special logo on their labels.
AYUSH ranks products as either 'standard' or 'premium' and even companies that have been in existence for over 100 years do not receive the 'premium' ranking on many products, he said.
While all Maharishi Ayur-Veda products are very pure—free from pesticides and other contaminants—attention has been put on bringing out products that are certified organic.
The first of these will be Maharishi Amrit Kalash, several MA herbal preparations, ten spice blends, and three teas.
'Very soon we'll have more products, most of our products, certified organic,' he said.
