2 January 2008
Dr Kingsley Brooks, Raja of Israel for the Global Country of World Peace and former Raja of New England in the United States, reported on the rising interest in Maharishi's Vedic Approach to Health in the New England area.
Dr Brooks reported that Dr Steele Belok, MD and a Vaidya—Ayur-Vedic expert—from the Maharishi Vedic Health Center at Lancaster gave a talk in Massachusetts about Maharishi Ayur-Veda, hosted by one of the most active Indian societies in New England.
The audience was riveted, Dr Brooks said. People commented that the presentation, entitled The most ancient system of health care validated by modern science, was one of the most engaging and enjoyable talks they'd ever heard. The presentation ended with wonderful questions from audience, and many people stayed well after the event was supposed to be over to ask individual questions of Dr Belok and the Vaidya.
Dr Brooks reported that the Society has decided to have presentations on Maharishi's Vedic Health-Care System as part of their regularly scheduled seminars.
Dr Belok spends much of his time travelling and giving presentations on Maharishi Ayur-Veda throughout the New England area, Dr Brooks said. A recent talk in Burlington, Vermont was filmed by a local television station and aired on public access television throughout Vermont.
Dr Brooks also reported that at the request of one of the largest Indo-American newspapers in New England—with a circulation of 28,000—there will be bi-monthly articles on Maharishi's programmes for every area of society. In that paper there is also an advertisement for the Maharishi Academy of Total Knowledge, High School for Leadership, which, Dr Brooks said, has already inspired inquiries from readers.
In addition, Dr Brooks reported that last month the new distribution centre for Maharishi Ayur-Veda Products International (MAPI) in Antrim, New Hampshire received an abundance of orders.
