On 31 October 2004 Delicious Living Magazine reported:
Four experts in the field of ageing were interviewed about strategies to make the ageing process easier. One of these experts, Nancy Lonsdorf MD, shares her knowledge of the benefit of Ayurveda routines and Transcendental Meditation for longevity.
It is a joy for Global Good News service to feature this news, which indicates the success of the life-supporting programmes Maharishi has designed to bring
fulfilment to the field of health.
The article contained interviews of a number of people in their nineties and four medical experts on their opinions about promoting longevity. The experts included Jeffrey Blumberg PhD, Vincent Giampapa MD, David A Lipschitz MD, and Dr Nancy Longsdorf MD. The experts' recommendations include antioxidants such as vitamins, supplements for DNA repair, exercise, and happiness.
Nancy Lonsdorf, MD, approaches the ageing process from the standpoint of Ayurveda, an ancient form of Indian holistic medicine and from her experience with patients practising Transcendental Meditation. Lonsdorf is the medical director of the Raj Ayurveda Health Center in Vedic City, Iowa. As the Delicious Living article explains, Lonsdorf recommends eating foods rich in phytoestrogens. Foods such as soy, asparagus, legumes, and whole grains are especially beneficial for women during menopause. Lonsdorf also suggests doing an oil massage each morning and practising meditation, specifically Transcendental Meditation.
The experts in this article addressed the process of ageing from many different angles and presented many methods in which to make the later years of one's life as joyous and comfortable as possible.
Every day Global Good News documents the rise of a better quality of life dawning in the world and highlights the need for introducing Natural Law based—Total
Knowledge based—programmes to bring the support of Nature to every individual, raise the quality of life of every society, and create a lasting state of world peace.
