On Sunday, 17 October 2010, the tenth anniversary celebrations of the Global Country of World Peace came to a grand conclusion in the annual global celebration of Victory Day.
Special Victory Day celebrations were held at the International Capital of the Global Country of World Peace in MERU, Holland; the Global Capital of World Peace at the Brahmasthan (geographical centre) of India; Maharishi University of Management in Fairfield, Iowa, USA; and at Maharishi Invincibility Centres* throughout the world.
Throughout the world since 7 October 2010, leaders and members of the Global Country have been commemorating the historic ceremonies of October 2000, during which Maharishi Mahesh Yogi inaugurated the Global Country of World Peace, establishing Maharaja Adhiraj Rajaraam as its First Ruler.
On 17 October 2000, Maharaja declared his first Proclamation, accepting the responsibility to establish the administration to maintain perpetual peace on earth.
In the coming days, Global Good News will feature highlights of Maharaja's Proclamation of 17 October 2000, and also from this year's global Victory Day celebrations.
* Maharishi Invincibility Centres in major cities around the world offer the knowledge and programmes of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, including the Transcendental Meditation Programme, to promote enlightenment for every individual and invincibility for every nation through development of full potential in every area of life.
