Speaking on 14 July, 2008 during the first day of the global Guru Purnima Celebration in MERU, the Netherlands, Dr Antonio Bartolome, Raja (Administrator) of Spain for the Global Country of World Peace, gave an inspiring tribute to His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, Founder of the Global Country of World Peace and his world-wide Transcendental Meditation organization.

Raja Antonio gave an historical perspective on the rise of invincibility in Spain through Maharishi's programmes, saying, 'The nation had been fraught with conflict and tension for generations. Power struggles weakened the government and stifled progress. In the 1970s, the destiny of the nation was transformed when Maharishi chose Spain to host a large course to train teachers of the Transcendental Meditation Technique. From that point forward', he continued, 'the economic and political climate became more and more ideal. Spain became known as a model for other countries.'

Raja Antonio spoke with deep conviction as he said, 'We are eternally grateful to Maharishi for his complete and perfect knowledge that is creating nothing less than Heaven on Earth.'
