On 26 August 2005 Patriot-News reported:
Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, founder of the Transcendental Meditation Programme, declared that Pennsylvania's political problems can be attributed to the fact that the Capitol building faces in the wrong direction. The newspaper quoted Maharishi as saying, 'People do not know that a greater part of the negative influences in life comes from the wrong layout of the buildings in which they live and work.'
It is a joy for Global Good News service to feature this news, which indicates the success of the life-supporting programmes Maharishi has designed to bring
fulfilment to the field of government.
The article referred to a recent international news conference in which Maharishi called upon the world press to pay attention to the orientation of government buildings. He blamed the west entrance of the Pennsylvania Capitol building for poor judgement, as recently displayed in the decision of lawmakers to give themselves an unpopular pay raise.
Maharishi's advice to government officials was to 'abandon it quickly—and then the government will thrive. . . Continue in this old building, and you can continue to count the failures of the government every year'.
Every day Global Good News documents the rise of a better quality of life dawning in the world and highlights the need for introducing Natural Law based—Total
Knowledge based—programmes to bring the support of Nature to every individual, raise the quality of life of every society, and create a lasting state of world peace.
