A series of presentations in Armenia in the past year awakened great interest in Consciousness-Based Education, said Dr Ashley Deans, Executive Director of Maharishi School of the Age of Enlightenment in the USA. Dr Deans, who serves as Global Ambassador for Consciousness-Based Education, visited Armenia during a tour of southeastern Europe and the Middle East. He reported on the tour at a conference in the Netherlands.
Dr Deans met with a number of leading educators and education officials in the country, including a prominent university president, who were very interested in the knowledge and the concepts of Consciousness-Based Education. Many wanted to learn Transcendental Meditation, a central element of Consciousness-Based Education, right away.
Wherever he spoke in Armenia, Dr Deans found students eager and enthusiastic to know more about Consciousness-Based Education. He was 'very impressed' with the young people, he said. At one of the top schools in Armenia, teachers and students were all keenly interested in Transcendental Meditation, the advanced Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programme, and other technologies of consciousness brought to the world by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi.
Dr Deans commented on the warm reception in Armenia and other countries on the tour for Consciousness-Based Education. 'People cannot hear enough about it,' he said.
