Transcendental Meditation teachers busy in schools, universities across Latin America

Large numbers of students in schools and universities in different parts of Latin America have been learning Transcendental Meditation.

A new school in one country is making instruction in the meditation technique available to 3,000 of its students. In addition, 800 students are learning the advanced Transcendental Meditation Sidhi programme, including Yogic Flying.

In another country, 5,000 university students have started the advanced programme. Their educational experience will also be enhanced through Maharishi Vedic Science, which will be a subject taught in the university and available to all students. Maharishi Vedic Science is the science and technology of consciousness, brought to light from the ancient Vedic tradition of India by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, Founder of the Transcendental Meditation programme.

A university in a different country is also inviting its students to learn Transcendental Meditation and its advanced programmes. At one of the largest private universities in the region, Transcendental Meditation teachers recently taught 2,000 students the TM-Sidhi programme.

In addition to a few other school projects, an initiative is underway involving the military. Transcendental Meditation teachers have been holding courses to instruct about 2,500 young soldiers in the advanced programmes.

An administrator who has been overseeing many of the projects commented that Transcendental Meditation teachers in Latin America are happily busy, 'teaching around the clock'.

He explained that these various large groups practising Transcendental Meditation and Yogic Flying in schools and in the military are generating an influence of coherence, harmony, and other positive trends in their nations. The effects of this rising coherence can also be seen extending beyond these countries' borders, he said, supporting the development of these new groups enjoying the benefits of the meditation technique and Consciousness-Based Education.

One Transcendental Meditation teacher remarked, 'There is an enormous outreach of growing coherence. Whatever happens in one country' supports the rise of positivity in the others.
