Maharishi University of Management's Accounting MBA programme is now available to anyone who is interested in this outstanding programme.
This latest announcement came shortly after a team of students in the MBA department won a prestigious nationwide business simulation competition. In the competition, the team went up against 137 other teams from top universities around the United States and came out victorious.
Speaking of the Accounting programme, Dr Craig Pearson, Executive Vice President of MUM, mentioned three remarkable qualities of this curriculum.
It is a programme that attracts top students from around the world and expertly trains them in traditional business and accounting skills. But it is also a programme that has its foundation in consciousness, thus helping the students develop from within.
Dr Pearson said, 'These three components really distinguish [this Accounting MBA] from other programmes.'
He went on to add, 'This is a programme that students from all over the world can apply to, with great financial support from the university.'
Dr Andrew Bargerstock, professor in the MUM business department and director of the special accounting track in the MBA programme, highlighted the new change in the department.
'In the past we were only allowing students to come into this programme with prior business experience in accounting, but starting this fall and going forward, this programme is available to anybody.'
Dr Bargerstock then mentioned that there is a growing demand for accountants. 'Here in the United Stated for example, we have hundreds of thousands of accountants who are coming to retirement age and there are not going to be enough accountants trained by universities to replace the ones that are retiring.'
