MUM launches blog at mum.edu
Maharishi University of Management, Fairfield, Iowa, USA - The Review Translate This Article
19 May 2011
Maharishi University of Management* now has a blog online at blog.mum.edu that showcases news, videos, and photographs.
''This is one of the first steps in our social media initiative,' says Paul Stokstad, director of marketing. 'We had a number of blogs, but no overall blog for mum.edu. Our goal is to convey how authentically friendly and engaging our educational community is.''
Behind the launch is Galaxy Ninja, a Fairfield-based Internet marketing company started by MUM alumni Eric Carter, Joey Del Re, Asher Fergusson, Tegan Perry, and David Jung.
Galaxy Ninja is responsible for managing the blog content and systems. The mum.edu blog links to faculty, staff, and student blogs as well as featuring its own articles written by resident blogger Anna Bruen and guest bloggers.
''The new MUM blog is a great way for students and faculty to express themselves,'' Mr. Fergusson said. ''It has wonderful potential to make MUM more visible across the Internet via search engines and social networks. The blog is a modern medium to showcase cool projects, experiences, and local MUM news to the world.''
* Maharishi University of Management in Fairfield, Iowa, USA features Consciousness-Based Education to develop students' inner potential while they pursue their academic studies.
