A recent Consciousness-Based Education tour in Cyprus included not only presentations to students and educators, but also symposium presentations, as well as a new focus on coherence-creating programmes in both northern and southern Cyprus.
Dr Ashley Deans, Global Ambassador for Consciousness-Based Education spoke to private organizations, as well as to students and teachers at private schools. Everyone was very enthusiastic about the Transcendental Meditation Programme, and leaders at the school were inspired to organize additional lectures.
A Mind, Body, Spirit symposium, which Dr Deans attended for two days, provided an opportunity to speak with hundreds of people about the programmes of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. Attendees also enjoyed a concert given by an accomplished Gandharva Veda musician.
Well-wishers of peace and harmony in both north and south are working to create groups of Yogic Flyers, which have been shown by scientific research to create coherence and harmony in the collective consciousness of society. A university professor in northern Cyprus—who organized a series of successful lectures on Consciousness-Based Education for students, professors, and administrators at his school—is now working with a teacher of Transcendental Meditation in southern Cyprus on this initiative.
