At the 26 June 2010 Maharishi University of Management (MUM) graduation ceremony, university president Dr Bevan Morris delivered the traditional charge to the graduates, quoting extensively Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's address to the MUM graduating class of 2003.
Dr Morris began, quoting Maharishi's words,
'Jai Guru Dev. The students graduating today, you will always remain a joy to the university. You will remain a joy to your parents, to your families, to your traditions, and you will be fulfilling the need of our time.
'The need of our time is to create a basis for a new history of the world—to say, in short, the world needs really good leadership. One good leader in the world will create a new history in his country and create an example of prevention-oriented, problem-free administration. Of course, money anyone can earn, but your earning will be a good graceful fortune. Of all the millions of people of your countries, a peaceful, prevention-oriented administration you will provide the country by just following the advice of your university.
'You have been trained under top scientists, under top enlightened people, by people who have taken the responsibility to correct the wrongs of our civilization peacefully and establish the fortune of the world—the fortune of the people of every country—to be on a high level of fulfilment.
'You have the ability through morning and evening long programme* to engage the total infinite organizing power of Natural Law to work for you. It's a great achievement, and you have been very special in your age and very fortunate that you will be able to fulfil the aspiration of your parents. What parents like, they like to see their children on the top of success; they want to see their children successful for themselves, for their environment, and for their country for everyone.
'So you will be fulfilling the aspiration of your parents, the aspiration of your professors, and above all I invite you to fulfil my aspiration. My aspiration in the world—what remains to be achieved—is a permanent ground for peaceful life everywhere, and affluence and fulfilment for everyone. You have that technique, that technology, whereby you can use Natural Law to fulfil your desire. And your desire will be nothing less than a bright civilization for the people of your country to become an example to the people of other countries.'
