Netherlands: Schools to offer excellence in education through Transcendental Meditation

Consciousness-Based Education is expanding in several schools in Holland. Faculty and staff are beginning to learn the Transcendental Meditation Programme and students will begin this spring.
Dr Paul Gelderloos, National Director of Invincible Netherlands for the Global Country of World Peace, has now acquired five secondary schools and was invited by the teachers to tell them about his motivation and his interest in offering ideal education.
He gave a lecture to most of the teachers, which was very well received.
'Winfort School of Excellence' is the name Dr Gelderloos has chosen for the group of schools. The name signifies students who have the ability to 'win' the 'fort' and achieve the fruit of all knowledge—success and fulfilment of life in enlightenment, he explained.*
Teachers and administrators are starting to learn the Transcendental Meditation Programme, and students will begin the programme after the spring break, he said. Many parents are also very interested in learning the technique.
Dr Gelderloos also reported on expansion of the Maharishi School in Lelystad. The school has just welcomed six more students—all from the surrounding community, and whose parents do not practise Transcendental Meditation.
This is a good trend, Dr Gelderloos said, because it means the school will continue to thrive even as children of practitioners of Transcendental Meditation grow up and graduate from the school.
Like so many other Consciousness-Based Education schools around the world, the Maharishi School in Lelystad has achieved a reputation for excellence, he said, and on that basis is drawing new students.
* Dr Gelderloos' report was featured on the 29 January 2010 Maharishi Global Family Chat, broadcast daily via Internet webcast on the Maharishi Channel, Channel 3. Podcasts of the daily Global Family Chat (audio track) are also now available for automatic download, via an RSS feed.
