Educators, government officials, and students in Turkey have shown great interest in implementing Consciousness-Based Education in their nations' schools, thanks to the success of lectures given by Dr Ashley Deans, Global Ambassador for Consciousness-Based Education, on his tour through these countries.
Dr Deans joined Dr Albert Baruh, National Director of the Transcendental Meditation Programme in Turkey, in Istanbul, where he first delivered a well-received lecture at Galatasaray University. Next on the agenda, Dr Deans spoke at a school in Istanbul of 1,000 students, where he also met with the vice rector, principals, and chief administrators. 'The school officials were extremely open to Consciousness-Based Education, and plan to implement the programme as soon as possible,' he said. He added that 1,000 students practising Yogic Flying would be sufficient to create invincibility for Turkey.
Dr Deans and Dr Baruh also met with the president of another university in Istanbul. The president, a physicist, was deeply appreciative of the knowledge brought out by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi about the Unified Field, which Dr Deans (who is also a physicist) included in his presentation.
Global Good News will feature the rest of Dr Deans' report on the successful tour for Consciousness-Based Education in Turkey in the coming days.
