Speaking 16 September 2008 on Maharishi Global Family Chat, Raja Bob LoPinto, Raja of Invincible Vietnam for the Global Country of World Peace, reported on the success of a recent visit to his domain by Dr John and Dr Christina Revolinski, Teachers of the Transcendental Meditation Technique and administrators at Maharishi University of Management (M.U.M.), Fairfield, Iowa, USA.
The Revolinskis had been traveling in Southeast Asia when the president of a university in Vietnam requested that they come visit. The president, who had visited M.U.M. several months ago, was enthusiastic at the prospect of having students at his university learn the Transcendental Meditation Technique.
'Not only this university, but several major universities in Vietnam were delighted to receive the Revolinskis,' said Raja LoPinto. The Revolinskis signed memorandums of understanding with three Vietnamese universities that wished to collaborate with M.U.M. At one university, located in Ho Chi Minh City, they taught the Transcendental Meditation Technique to 12 Deans and Administrators, whose initial experiences were overwhelmingly positive. The ultimate goal, Raja LoPinto said, is for all 20,000 students of this university to learn Transcendental Meditation.
The Revolinskis also met with a high official at the Vietnamese Ministry of Education, who was also very excited to introduce Transcendental Meditation into the nation's schools and universities. 'The official was relieved that Consciousness-Based Education was being brought to Vietnam's school system,' said Raja LoPinto. The programmes of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, he said, fit well with Vietnam's pure Buddhist tradition.
'We've done much follow-up since the Revolinskis' visit with these Vietnamese leaders in education,' Raja LoPinto said in closing. 'All of them continue to express great excitement at our efforts.'
