5 September 2008
Speaking 29 August 2008 on Maharishi Global Family Chat, Raja Graham de Freitas, Raja of Invincible Uganda for the Global Country of World Peace, reported on early successes of a Maharishi School built in his domain, signifying the approach of National Invincibility.
Dr Grant Lusimbo, National Director for the Global Country of World Peace in Uganda and founder of the new Maharishi School there, has been working tirelessly to recruit more students and add more classrooms. So far, there are two classrooms and 20 students. However, while attending the 2008 Global Guru Purnima Assembly in MERU, Netherlands, Dr Lusimbo met a well-wisher of Consciousness-Based Education who offered to provide scholarships for 50 more students, which would lead to a 500% increase in enrollment.
Right now, Dr Lusimbo is researching the area for young students deserving of the scholarships, who have already demonstrated their commitment to educational pursuits. 'In Uganda, local governments follow this system, keeping track of students deserving of financial support,' explained Raja Graham.
In January, the school is expected to have two additional classrooms completed—four total, which could accommodate a maximum of 100 students. Although a group of 500 Yogic Flyers is needed to create invincibility for Uganda, Raja Graham expects that a group of 60 will create a distinct positive impact on the country. 'The incoming scholarship students will provide a solid foundation for national invincibility in a country that has been racked by civil war and unrest for the last 20 to 30 years.'
