26 January 2008
During a recent Maharishi Global Family Chat—broadcast daily via satellite and Internet on Channel 3 of the Maharishi Channel—Dr Volker Schanbacher, Minister of Education for the Global Country of World Peace and International President of Maharishi University of World Peace, gave a demonstration and lecture to the assembled Rajas (Administrators) and Ministers of the Global Country of World Peace about the use of video animations as a teaching tool. After his presentation, Dr Bevan Morris, Prime Minister of the Global Country, and President of Maharishi University of Management in Fairfield, Iowa, USA, requested that similar animations be created for all the Maharishi Towers of Invincibility, Schools, and Universities around the world.
The most modern technology—video imaging, with large displays that one can change easily—is used to present charts and information, Dr Schanbacher said. He then used the chart entitled 'The Unified Field of all the Laws of Nature at the Basis of all Aspects of Physics' as an example of this technology. The chart shows the different levels of Nature's functioning, he said, and how they all have their source in the Unified Field of all the Laws of Nature that unifies all the different levels of creation. As he discussed each level, it flashed in different colours, became larger, and moved across the screen.
The video programme posed questions, searched for, and found the answers. It reviewed the four fundamental forces described by modern physics and included corresponding mathematical equations. Dr Schanbacher explained, 'These show how a video animation can be used to explain different parts of a complex equation more easily and clearly, relating equation parts to the different forces. It is our policy that whenever we show principles in modern science, we also want to show corresponding formulae to show that these principles have a very precise meaning.'
He added that he had programmed the computer so that the formulae were generated automatically. 'These graphics emerge,' he said. 'This gives a very faint glimpse of how the Veda sequentially unfolds.' He noted that unlike the approach of modern science, the Vedic approach is to identify with the Unified Field in a practical way, as well as theoretically. 'It automatically uses the evolutionary power of Natural Law to improve all aspects of life,' he said.
Dr Schanbacher closed by saying that he hoped the presentation would serve as an inspiration to have animated exhibitions at centres, Maharishi Towers of Invincibility, and other schools throughout the world. He added that he would be glad to confer about the animations, and the hardware necessary to run them. After warm applause, Dr Bevan Morris said he hoped that similar presentations would be developed and provided to everyone around the world for their Maharishi Invincibility Towers, Schools, and Universities.
