Dr Robert Wynne, Raja (Administrator) of Central Vedic America for the Global Country of World Peace, and Mayor of Maharishi Vedic City, Iowa, spoke on the occasion of the celebration of MUM's 36th Founder's Day, broadcast live on 12 September, on the Maharishi Channel. He expressed the great gratitude that all feel to His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi for lending his name to the university. Maharishi means great seer, and this university has the ability to give enlightenment to all students, faculty, and staff.

Raja Wynne also reflected on the inaugural date of the Invincible America Assembly, over one year ago, and the growing experiences of bliss and higher states of consciousness described by the course participants since then. He reminded everyone that those practising Yogic Flying can apply easily online at, to come to the Invincible America Assembly. He also commented on how the country is changing as a result of the Assembly, now in its second year, and what it will be like in the future.

Housing is available at the Invincible America Assembly, Dr Wynne announced; and for Americans, the Howard and Alice Settle Foundation for an Invincible America provides US$600/month with a one-year commitment. 'Come and feast on the experience of contributing to your own, and the country's, invincibility', Dr Wynne said, 'along with the Maharishi University of Management (MUM) faculty, students, and staff; the Vedic Pandits (peace-creating experts); the Purusha and Mother Divine programmes; and the Town Super Radiance community (the large number of residents of Maharishi Vedic City and nearby Fairfield who participate in daily group practice of Yogic Flying), many of whom have been here for nearly 30 years.'

Dr Wynne noted that now that the knowledge of Consciousness-Based Education is becoming widely available, schools throughout the country are adopting it. Recently one state government recommended that Maharishi's Transcendental Meditation (TM) Programme be available for all students from kindergarten up, in all schools, as well as for adults and those with health problems. While in the past, schoolchildren were used to having unhealthy snacks in school vending machines, 'now Maharishi's TM Programme, natural snacks, and being in a proper Vastu* will become what students are used to,' he predicted.

That state government also passed a law favouring having organic food for the whole city, reminding Dr Wynne of the fact that Maharishi Vedic City itself has a law that non-organic food cannot be sold within the city limits. 'In fact, several times a week, large refrigerated trucks go from (greenhouses) here to nearby cities loaded with Maharishi Organic produce for restaurants and grocery stores . . . . No one will even think about it any more. It is just the way things are.'
