Consciousness and world peace, Part 1 BBC interview with David Lynch (5:49 minutes) Consciousness and world peace, Part 2 David Lynch tells the story of how he learned the Transcendental Meditation technique, how it has affected his personal and professional life, and why he is now devoting himself to help create world peace. He has been practising the Transcendental Meditation technique for over 30 years, and recently extablished the David Lynch Foundation for Consciousness-Based Education and World Peace.
The Tao - Expressions of Consciousness The Tao Te Ching, written by the Chinese sage Lao Tzu, describes the true reality of life as the transcendental field of pure consciousness—the Self. Why is a quantum physicist studying consciousness? Quantum physics has mathematically described our universe as being structured in layers. Underlying all physical reality is the unmanifest Unified Field. The human mind has the remarkable ability to fathom the finest levels of conscious thought and experience the silent level of the Unified Field. (16:14 minutes) Speaker: Dr John Hagelin is a renowned quantum physicist and public policy expert who is featured in the popular movie What the bleep do we know!?? He is Professor of Physics and Director of the university's Institute of Science, Technology and Public Policy.
Experience changes the brain. The human brain is constantly changing; over 70% of the connections between brain cells change every day. What can we do to ensure that these changes make us more creative, intelligent, and adaptable? (8:39 minutes) Speaker: Dr Fred Travis, Director of the university's Center for Brain, Consciousness, and Cognition. Dr Travis has been researching human brain development and states of consciousness for over 20 years, with more than 40 published papers.
