At the Fourth Annual Vastu Panorama Conference in Bhopal, India, experts gathered to discuss Vastu (Vedic) architecture. The theme was 'Vastu Dynamics for Global Well Being', or how Vastu design can create harmony by aligning buildings and cities with natural law.

One of the speakers at the conference was Dr Eike Hartmann, an international expert in Maharishi Vastu architecture. In his address via video, Dr Hartmann presented to the audience news of hundreds of Vastu buildings around the world, spanning from residential developments, school and university buildings, and office buildings, to an entire city built according to Vastu principles of design.

One element Dr Hartmann particularly wanted to share with the audience is the development of a Master Builder System and prefabricated parts for Vastu buildings.

He said, 'In the Netherlands we are building the residential campus of MERU University where we have developed a special Master Builder System of self-insulating, pre-cast wall elements with perfect finish inside and outside, including full ornamentation of pillars and arches.'

Among other related topics, VastuTV.com features a short video about the Master Builder System: 'The pre-cast, all natural, self-insulating, liapor (popped clay) outside wall elements go up in 15 minutes per panel. They have been developed by architect Christian Schweizer at MERU, Holland, and are also known as the MERU Master Builder System. Traditional Vedic pilasters, arches, entablature, plinth and ornaments are part of the mold and therefore cast as part of the wall panel.'

The pre-cast walls are built according to Vastu design. 'Houses like this are so beautiful and built very quickly and cost-effectively,' Dr Hartmann said.

This master builder system is not just for residential buildings, he added. 'Even a 12-storey exhibition tower, the Maharishi Tower of Invincibility, can be built with the same pre-cast wall elements.'

Administrative and educational centres, like the Maharishi Peace Palace in Erfurt, Germany are also being built with this system, making construction easy and cost-effective, and requiring no exterior decoration later.
