The primetime TV programme about Transcendental Meditation first shown last Sunday, 25 March on 'Oprah's Next Chapter' will be rebroadcast Sunday, 8 April on the OWN network. Several segments of the show can be viewed online now.
The show—titled 'America's Most Unusual Town'—follows Oprah Winfrey through a very full day in Fairfield and Maharishi Vedic City, Iowa, USA—'one of the safest, greenest and most unusual communities in America. It's the last place you'd expect to find two huge, golden domes built for the thousands of residents who rush there to meditate twice a day.'
Sunday 8 April – 8:00pm and 11:00pm US Eastern Time on OWN, the Oprah Winfrey Network.

After filming segments at Maharishi School and in the Fairfield and Maharishi Vedic City communities, Oprah joined 'housewives, engineers, waitresses, lawyers, moms and single women at the Golden Dome of Pure Knowledge for evening meditation—a powerful, energizing, yet calming experience', she wrote in the February issue of 'O' magazine: 'What Oprah knows for sure about finding the fullest expression of yourself'.
Describing how she felt as she left the Dome after this meditation session, Oprah said, 'I walked away feeling fuller than when I came in, full of hope and a sense of contentment and deep joy—knowing for sure that in the craziness of the world that seems to bombard us at every angle, there is always the consistency of stillness.'
Global Good News will continue to post updates about the program and replays, both broadcast and online.
