US: Maharishi University of Management develops business ventures

Several business ventures have been developed in conjunction with Maharishi University of Management (MUM), Fairfield, Iowa, USA. Dr Harry Bright, Director of Business Enterprises for MUM, recently reported on the success of some of these ventures.

Maharishi University of Management Press has released many popular new publications, including: Superhealthy Kids, The Flow of Consciousness: Maharishi Mahesh Yogi on Literature and Language, and Conversations with Maharishi, by renowned Vedic scholar and MUM Trustee Dr Vernon Katz.

The MUM Farm greenhouse supplies fresh Vedic organic produce to the University's dining halls, as well as to the Golden Dome Market, which opened in 2005 and last year reached $1 million in sales, Dr Bright said.

The University Store is also a great success, especially since it started stocking only organic food, snacks, and clothing.
